These also have a lithium battery in them finally. They are much more powerful than the previous version, only downside is how loud it is.

Yes this model interchangeable with “all” oral b heads including the knock offs except for the IO series which uses different, incompatible brush heads.

is IO series better?
Also, do these come with charging cable/brick? Or do I have to call them and request a free one?

I think so. It has sonic vibrations so its like a mix of regular oral b and sonicare.
Edit. Should mention I have all 3 and I do prefer the io.
Im still using the others once in awhile cause I refuse to let these expensive brush heads go to waste.

I still use an ancient Oral-B by Braun model 3728 that must be at least 20 years old. It uses the same Oral-B heads and operation is pretty much identical to current versions. I just replaced the original NiMH battery this year ($12 from AliExpress).
But now I realize that my toothbrush is missing Bluetooth, and I don't know how I can live without that!

We have these units. Great brushes, but I hate the 5 speed button placement. First, who need these various speeds for brushing your teeth and second, the button is in the worst possible place and the speed gets changed inadvertently constantly.

Hahah, I have an ancient one too - still going strong and dentists are happy with my teeth.

The Philips sonicare ones are way better. It's not even close. The body is prone to cracking if it topples over easier. The brush heads get filled with gunk and gets disgusting with all the crevices it has. My wife and I swapped to Philips and returned the IO oral B one and couldn't be happier about it. Just my experience and opinion. Happy brushing both, are still better than manual.

Yeah, that is why I was asking above. I made my partner replace her Oral B because I hated the goo stains on the counter.

Terrible, feels like battery needs to be charged every 3-4 days - need a phone app that i would never even touch just to use all the features.

When teeth brushing technology doesn't change in 20 years you need to make up features to get people to buy something new and pay more.

Perhaps you have a bad unit. Ours lasts for 2 weeks with 2 of us brushing twice a day. They have an indicator at the bottom that goes from 3 bars to 2 to 1, then a few days later it gives the recharge signal. Battery life has never been an issue for us.
